Polymers & Resins

Polycarbonate

Polycarbonates are a group of thermoplastic polymers containing carbonate groups in their chemical structures. Polycarbonate polymers are very clear plastics and are used to produce a variety of materials and are particularly useful when impact resistance and/or transparency are a product requirement. Polycarbonate also has very good heat resistance.

Applications

Polycarbonate is commonly used for home appliances (refrigerators, air conditioners, coffee machines, etc.), automotive components, plastic lenses in eyewear, greenhouses, digital disks (CD & DVD), exterior lighting fixtures and so on.
